Unidentified Entities ( a poem of recollections)

Updated on August 30, 2015
failure to communicate...
failure to communicate...
who...what ...where... when...we don't know...
who...what ...where... when...we don't know...
Strange shapes and sounds in the night...
Strange shapes and sounds in the night...
unidentified lights in the skies...
unidentified lights in the skies...
Are all sightings legitimate...
Are all sightings legitimate...
What are their worlds like...
What are their worlds like...
Saucers or clouds...
Saucers or clouds...
UFO or air balloon...
UFO or air balloon...
strange lights...
strange lights...
Strange things in this mysterious world...we shall never understand...

the unknown... a challenge to the imagination...
the unknown... a challenge to the imagination...

It all began...as a child, a recollection...of the alien connection, its flap,

An airship just seemed to float on high, as I watched, and took a nap.

It hovered and remained for hours on end...not to waiver or to leave,

Never in my wildest dreams to exist...or of my mind to ever conceive.

Later, as an adult, as I drove home...strange sights I did so behold,

People lined the roadway to observe...never a reason then was told.

I joined in the fun...as just begun, watching a big red light in the sky,

I drove on my way...forgot all that day...hope to remember, by and by.

In seventy-three, in a field and out hunting, spied silver disks overhead,

A saucer pursued a boy and me...a mystery, left a calling card instead.

A column of smoke fifty feet high, stood there where the craft had been,

The sheriff and the town recounted all around, UFO sightings to begin.

One day my wife and another, were approached in a yard of her mother,

As a huge triangular blinking ship, slowly moved in the sky, over our heads.

Watched it disappear, forgot it was near, no mention of it, to one another,

Seventeen years to the day, all remembered, as a sight that one so dreads.

Once on a hunting trip, my son and a friend, both spied a big ship, to descend,

Its occupants, assembling outside, all access denied...descriptions, to depend.

Floated across the creek, brown cloaks, eyes bleak...as silent as the day is long,

Fired their gun, creatures to run...spooked them bad, knowing something was wrong.

As I waited beside a tree, my ride, hoping to see.. a skyscraper, huge ship, to behold,

My wife drove so fast, as she viewed the ship at last...approached me and was so bold.

We left the scene in all haste, no time did we then waste...the hovering event to unfold.

It dropped its connection to a power grid erection...seemed to siphon power, as so told.

A child in my class had a tale that would last, as his family gathered, in backyard to play,

All spied a big ball...silver overall...then split into five lights, as all to dance in the air.

Another saw a red globe, ran a muck with his load...crashing into woods in the fray.

A sheriff nearby, a red light to spy, drove his squad car, helped a lady there in despair.

Lights in the night sky...seemed to follow me about...to this day, don;'t understand why,

All through the years, despite all my fears...I just regard it all, with an accepting sigh.

Red balls. silver disks, broad triangles, more to list...from where and why did they come,

Us from the future, or them from the stars...no one to understand, where they are from.
