Autumn Comes

Autumn
Autumn comes, as by an artist's brush, and on cooling winds stroked with a rush,
Bright colors are spread, by a palette below, over treetops, while the breezes blow.
Golden tones with yellows and reds, sparkle on the trees, as their leaves are shed.
While I'm sitting quietly in my chair, admiring and enjoying, this feast that's so rare.
Out on the lake, broad tones are spread, reflections shimmer, by sunlight led.
under leaves all floating as tiny ships, as their kissed by Autumn's precious lips.
A chill lightly wafts on fingers and then, the sitting sun marks a days quiet end.
As i pull my collar closer to my face, I will prepare for the darkness, to embrace.
In knowing tomorrow awaits new sights, the night time extinguishes all its lights.
When I close the door in my cabin there, I break some bread for the cat to share.
With my fresh cut logs placed in a stack, a soothing fire bathes behind my back,
As coffee sipped in my brown mug, a picture's warming thoughts, as to give a hug.
A big glowing orb of yellow moon's light, I see through my window, there so bright.
Out on the fields shadows are cast, by towering pines lining, as tall ship's masts.
Awaiting tomorrow, by morning sun's rays, again we shall share in Autumn days,
A time of beauty and colorful sights, leaving fond memories, in bright day's lights.

Beautifully written. Your words flow rythmically and paint a picture of what you are envisioning and feeling. Very talented.
